Being a camerado is sometimes difficult to explain, it’s complex because it’s all about being human. Sometimes the stories people tell us can explain it better than we can.

Public Living Rooms have sprung up in community centres, schools, libraries, hospitals and universities/FE colleges, there’s even one in a beach hut…. how folk use them and the impact they have on people has been researched by Sheffield Hallam University. You can read their research report Friends and Purpose: Evaluation of Camerados Public Living Rooms or their report on the impact of Camerados in the NHS over a year when we had Public Living Rooms in six hospital trusts in Middlesbrough, Norwich, Tameside, Rotherham, Blackpool and Craigavon.
If you would like to share your camerados experiences then please send it us at The Brain or contact us at cuppa@camerados.org.
